RC chocolat

I’ve told you about this place in Sigtuna some times before, but repetition is the mother of knowledge as far as I know. RC chocolat really knows the deal. They are amazing at chocolate and their pastry are a real show for the eye as well as heaven for your taste buds. If you ever happen to pay a visit to Stockholm, don’t be afraid to leave the busy city for some hours and take a trip to Sigtuna, it’s a beautiful little town and you might get your best “fika” at this place!

Hi all! A little summary of my last visit to Blekinge and my parents. Since my boyfriend hasn’t been to the southern parts of Sweden that much (before he met me) we decided to make a trip to Skåne to the eastern parts which is called Österlen. In Österlen you can find Swedens most famous producer of cider and fruit drinks – Kiviks musteri. It’s a family own company that has enormous orchards all around Kivik. Amazing to see and their products are delicious!

Even though we didn’t get the best weather we had a nice trip and I think the pictures pretty much tells you about the wet and windy day we had. But anyway a good trip that I recommend you to do if you ever visit Sweden and the southern parts.

A store in perfect condition! Everything is nicely displayed and there is a lot of news every year.

My absolute favorit. A sweet appeljuice with lots of vanilla and cinnamon, taste pretty much like and apple cake. Lovely to drink hot after a cold day outside.

Min absoluta favorit.

After our stop at the store we continued our journey to Kivik village. And the beach!

After our stop in Kivik we continued with some real tourist attractions. At first, a stop at Knäbäckshusen.

Orchards! Fruktodlingar!

Next stop – stormy sea. Nästa stopp – stormigt hav.

Our last stop – Ale stenar. A very old heritage from our ancients. Placed on the edge of a hill, right beside the sea – beautiful.

Since I’m a food geek in every kind of way, I find it extremely amusing to spend some time at Harrod’s food halls. I like to eat, taste and cook food, but I also like to walk around in food stores just to get inspiration, since my dream is to run a own department store one day.

I think Harrod’s is a nice place (besides all the tourists) to get inspired. Everything is clean, nicely placed out, and the products are of good quality. You really feel an eager to buy, and that is exactly the feeling a food store should communicate. The sad thing though, is that I can’t buy the perishables since i live in Sweden. If we ever stay in an apartment (and not hotel room) I will definitely buy myself all the ingredients to supper at this nice store (and of course from Borough market). Well, that will be another time!

And who doesn’t love their basement!? I mean, look at al the nice bottles of wines. You can even make a paus down here, grab some snacks and a glas of wine! I think that will be a mission on my “to do list” next time I visit London (togheter with a afternoon tea, which I incredible haven’t experienced a single time in this city! Bad tourist…)
