Nougat chocolate cake

I and my boyfriend got a nice Sunday tradition. I bake something sweet and then we head of home to his family for a Sunday meal and get together.

This weekend I decided to go for a Nougat Chocolate Cake. It’s like a brownie with the sticky inside and the taste is a nice symphony of rich chocolate with a hint of nougat. I got a lot of “mhmm”s from the dinner guests so I guess that it was more than ok! And in my opinion, it was pretty chocolate amazing!

To bake this thing:
100 g butter
100 g chocolate nougat (guldnougat)
2 eggs
2 ½ dl sugar
1 ½ dl flour (vetemjöl)
4 tbs cacao (msk kakao)
2 tsp vanilla sugar (2 tsk)
2 pinches salt (nypor)

Melt the butter and add the chocolate. Stir until the chocolate has melted together with the butter. Blend together eggs and sugar with a spoon. Just stir it gently since you don’t want to get too much air in the batter (this is the secret to a sticky cake). Add the rest of the ingredients to the egg/sugar mix, and stir gently with the spoon. When you got it all mixed together you add the chocolate/butter mix.

Pour the batter in a form and bake it for about 20 minutes in 175 degrees Celsius. Let the cake rest in the fridge overnight, since it will bring out the flavors and make it extra sticky.

You serve this little sticky fellow with some gently whipped cream, fresh berries and vanilla ice cream if you like. And don’t forget to sit down somewhere nice, where the sun is shining and the birds are singing. Like this place…

Go on, you must try this one out! I promise you that you won’t be disappointed, but be fast to grab a slice of it since it won’t take long until its finished!
